Mr. Allen Ali, born on January 25, 1979, from Tecumseh Ontario, Canada, worked in the "Information Management" group of the "Information Technologies" department at ABB Switzerland Ltd, Corporate Research, 5405 Baden-Dättwil, Switzerland, From May 1, 2002, until November 30, 2002.

Mr. Ali worked as a trainee on the subject "Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) with ASP.NET". This work was part of the research project "Industrial IT Pilot for Clinical Trial Management".

He performed tasks on:

	Evaluating Microsoft ASP.NET from a technological perspective.
	Building two functional GUI prototypes addressing functions, graphical design, security, performance, and reuse.
	Presenting the ASP.NET technology and the experiences made.

Mr. Ali has shown a high level of enthusiasm and interest in all problems encountered. He was particularly creative in idea generation and graphical GUI design. His attitude towards his superiors and co-workers was very constructive, pleasant, and cordial and ensured active teamwork at all time. He was always friendly and helpful and his lively attitude had a very positive influence on our working environment.
